Arden Koop

Owner

Executive Summary

Arden Koop joined Patrick P. Peters CMA firm in 2012.  Arden has significant experience in corporate taxes, personal taxes and non-profit organizations. As well as supporting clients with various accounting software systems challenges. In addition, Arden has assisted international clients with the non-residency tax implications. In 2021 Arden formed Koop CPA to build on the experiences and trusted relationships with a practical approach to a complex tax world.

Personal Interests & Community Involvement

Arden has been involved on various boards and committees in the community including Steinbach Chamber of Commerce and Secretary for seniors housing. When not in the office, Arden can be found barbequing and cooking over an open fire coming up with mouth-watering Belizean dishes for family and friends. Arden along with his wife and three daughters enjoy camping and exploring the great out-doors.

Abby Loewen

Secretary

Executive Summary

Abby Loewen is the smiling face you will meet when you visit or call our office. She joined the Koop CPA team in 2021 as secretary. She quickly established her reputation for accuracy, efficiency, and an eye for detail as she assists clients with paperwork drop off and file preparation. In this capacity, she also does bookkeeping for clients.

Abby is passionate about her faith and living a healthy lifestyle. Outside of work she enjoys going for walks with her husband, reading, and learning new things to continually grow.

Harry Reimer

Accountant

Executive Summary

Harry made the switch to pursue his CPA designation in 2018 and began working for Patrick Peters and Arden Koop in May of 2019. Beginning with basic bookkeeping while working on his CPA designation, he now prepares corporate financial statements and personal and corporate tax returns. Harry completed his CPA final exam in 2021 and continues to apply his skill and sheer determination to reconcile one account at a time.

Personal Interests & Community Involvement

When not at the office Harry prefers to spend his time volunteering at church, spending time with his wife and four young children, and planning his next hiking or canoeing adventure. Harry's goal in all things is to act in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.

Jessica Penner

Secretary

Executive Summary

Jessica Penner joined Koop CPA in the fall of 2022 as secretary and bookkeeper. She enjoys getting to
know clients as she assists them and the accountants with questions, information intake, and file
preparation.

Associate of Arts in Christian Leadership – University of the Nations (2023)

 

Personal Interests & Community Involvement

Jessica enjoys music, books or discovering a new café. She finds the outdoors energizing whether it is
biking, walking, hiking, or camping. She also loves to travel and has spent time with YWAM in several
countries, both as a student and as a full-time volunteer.
